Joel Williams has served as Senior Pastor at First Baptist Church in St. Francisville, Louisiana, since 2013. He is author of the book Worship Inside and Out: A Biblical Theology for Worship (2021) and the discipleship group workbooks (1) New Life: Growing in the New Life that's Only Possible in Jesus Christ (2023); (2) Kingdom Living: Growing to Live in the Kingdom of God Today (2024); (3) Being Witnesses: Growing to Live on Mission for Jesus as the Church (2025); and (4) Wise and Worshipful: Living for God in an Age of Folly and Self-Worship (coming fall of 2026). Joel holds degrees from Louisiana Tech University, Louisiana State University, and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. His passion is preaching and teaching God's Word to make disciples of Jesus Christ in all nations. In his spare time, Joel enjoys spending time with family, working in his shop, and enjoying God's creation outdoors.
